Book Review, December 2022

Now, technically what I've chosen is not a 'book.' It's a blog novella, but I loved it. And... it's free!

I read the title and laughed. How could I not check out a story that had 'and bring a hammer' in paratheses?

The story is about a sister of several meddling brothers who take it upon themselves to find their sister a man. Only one of the brothers takes pity and asks his best friend to chase off the other guys. Of course, the 'knight in shining armour' soon realizes the lady doesn't need help chasing off men, she just needs someone to build a stable for their church nativity.

It's set in Queensland, Australia, which I loved (having lived there for a few years). You don't get too many boiling, humid Christmas stories. Maybe that's not what most people want, but it's what I get most years. That made it a read I easily identified with.

Hannah has set the story up well too. I've provided a link to the first blog post, but at the end of each chapter, there is a link to the next one. It makes reading easy, fun, and FREE! I found the text a little light at times, but for the most part, I enjoyed the format. I joined late, so I only had to wait for the last three or four chapters to be released. It was fun though, checking back every day to read the next chapter, but you won't have to wait at all!

Why not click the link below to check it out?
